Boston Pops 2013
In a year where the University of Georgia has celebrated all a strong Fine Arts program can offer a community, it is exciting that the Performing Arts Center and the Classic Center theater have collaborated to bring to the Boston Pops Orchestra to Athens this Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. in the Classic Center Theatre.
Conductor Keith Lockhart will lead the Pops in a special tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch, the Oscar and Tony-winning composer. The program will showcase some of Hamlisch's most beloved themes from musical theater and film, including "Through the Eyes of Love" from "Ice Castles" and the overture to "A Chorus Line."
