The University of Georgia community has joined together to set a new record in fundraising for a second consecutive year. In fiscal year 2015, 59,086 contributors donated nearly $144.2 million in gifts and pledges to advance the various missions of this great institution. These historic totals represent significant increases from the previous year—a 14 percent increase in contributions and a five percent increase in the number of donors. Fundraising at UGA is at an all-time high, and the Bulldog Nation is more unified today than ever in its pursuit of excellence.

A major accomplishment such as this one is made possible only through widespread teamwork and dedication. I am deeply thankful to our generous and loyal alumni and friends for their unprecedented level of financial support. In addition, I wish to express my gratitude to the UGA Foundation Board of Trustees, to the institution’s development team, and to the senior leadership across our schools, colleges, and other units for their hard work and determination. I also remain grateful to our outstanding students, faculty, and staff, who are the life-blood of America’s first state-charted university.

We have much to celebrate and much to look forward to as we prepare for a new academic year. Indeed, the future of the University of Georgia has never been brighter.
