KT Cooke became Assistant to the President in July 2026. Her work focuses primarily on admissions, capital projects, and special events. She serves as the President’s liaison to the University Cabinet, the UGA Real Estate Foundation, the Office of Admissions, the Commencement Steering Committee, and Public Service & Outreach. She also serves as a liaison to key stakeholders in the planning of major institutional events, including Founders Day and the annual Presidents Club reception, and helps to coordinate the President’s Sky Suite during home football games.

Before joining the Office of the President, Ms. Cooke served as Director of Sales and Event Management at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel. She also directed the Hospitality and Food Industry Management Internship Program and served as an adjunct instructor.

Ms. Cooke began her career with the Colonnade Group in Birmingham, Alabama, where she played a key role in developing and implementing premium seating management programs for Power Five athletic programs. She later served as Assistant Athletics Director at the University of Mississippi, where she oversaw premium seating operations, NCAA compliance, gameday logistics, and vendor partnerships across all athletic venues. Following her tenure at Ole Miss, she joined CGi Management in Nashville, Tennessee, as Director of Business Development and Events.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and a juris doctor from Mississippi College School of Law. She has completed several leadership development programs through the University of Georgia, including the Vivian H. Fisher Leadership Academy, the Public Service and Outreach Facilitation Academy, and the Women’s Staff Leadership Institute.
