At the University of Georgia, we are committed to providing students with world-class instruction, formative experiential learning opportunities, and strong support to foster their ongoing growth and development. To that end, we are excited to announce the launch of the Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR), a new digital credential that combines students’ courses and activities to further highlight their achievements and abilities.

The launch of the CLR is an exciting milestone for our University, and the implementation of this innovative digital system will allow students to easily quantify and visualize their achievements throughout their time at UGA. When registration opens each semester, students can use their CLR to reflect on their progress, visualize their strengths, and identify potential areas for growth across six institutional competencies: Critical Thinking, Analytical Thinking, Communication, Social Awareness and Responsibility, Leadership and Collaboration, and Creativity and Innovation.

With the CLR, students can easily showcase their experience and step confidently into the future. The CLR can also help them create materials for graduate school applications, job searches, or networking — highlighting the experiences most relevant to their audience and ensuring students can demonstrate important skills valued by today’s employers.

I am incredibly grateful for the staff in the Office of Instruction and all our campus partners who have supported the efforts to develop and launch the Comprehensive Learner Record. This groundbreaking initiative will give our students a significant advantage in the job market and further enhance the tremendous value of a UGA education.
