The University of Georgia is committed to continuously enhancing the student experience and creating a supportive community. In line with these efforts, this semester UGA launched Dawg Source, a one-stop service model that offers students and other members of the university community easier, direct access to vital resources across campus.
Dawg Source provides one centralized place—virtually via the UGA App, as well as in person via Student Care and Outreach in the Tate Student Center—to learn about services such as class registration, financial aid, and housing from the time students submit their application for admission through graduation and beyond. The UGA App offers customized views for students, employees, and other user groups for a more streamlined experience, while Student Care and Outreach helps students find individualized solutions to any challenge they may face.
Combining the resources of a large research university with the personalized support of a small, elite college is a hallmark of the University of Georgia—and part of what makes student life at UGA among the best in America. I am grateful to the members of the Task Force on Student Support and Services, led by Senior Vice Provost Michelle Cook, for their work to bring Dawg Source from idea to reality, and I am excited about the many benefits it will provide to the UGA community.
