University of Georgia faculty and students are constantly striving to expand the boundaries of what is known and what is possible. Because UGA is a land-grant institution, with economic development inherent in our mission, we also seek to translate discoveries and ideas into tangible benefits. This week, UGA dedicated the Delta Innovation Hub, where we are working to create products and solutions that will improve our quality of life while bolstering the economy.

Thanks to a generous gift from The Delta Air Lines Foundation, UGA has transformed a historic commercial building into dynamic space that will help us accelerate research commercialization, increase partnerships with industry, connect entrepreneurs on campus and in the community, attract public and private investment, and expand experiential learning opportunities for students. An additional gift from Delta established the Student Industry Fellows Program, facilitated in the Delta Innovation Hub, to enable our students to work with and learn from industry leaders.

We are grateful to The Delta Air Lines Foundation for their tremendous support of innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Georgia. Working with committed partners such as Delta, UGA continues to strengthen our innovation ecosystem and the state of Georgia.
