On May 1st, the University of Georgia celebrated the tenth anniversary of Delta Hall, home of UGA’s Washington Semester Program in Washington, D.C. Delta Hall is the site of impactful teaching and learning, important professional networking, and friendships that persist long after our students return home from their time in Washington.
Featuring residential space, modern classrooms, and a premier location just minutes from the U.S. Capitol, Delta Hall has been instrumental in preparing the next generation of public servants and political leaders to tackle society’s grand challenges. Additionally, our D.C. Government Relations office brings visitors to Delta Hall every week, further exposing our students to a wide range of professional opportunities and the fast-paced environment of our nation’s capital.
Thanks to the generosity of Delta Air Lines, the Delta Air Lines Foundation, and our loyal alumni and friends, we established Delta Hall in 2015 as a place for students to call their home while they work and learn in D.C. Since that time, it has been a tremendous privilege to watch so many of our Washington Semester Program alumni go on to do extraordinary things because of the academic and professional experiences they had in D.C. We are so proud of this partnership, and I am very excited to see what the next 10 years have in store for Delta Hall.
