The University of Georgia provides outstanding graduate education that equips students to become leaders in their fields. In addition to renowned faculty, our world-class learning environment includes fellowships that help us recruit the best and brightest graduate students and professional development programs that give students valuable skills and expertise. UGA is committed to growing the number of graduate students on our campus to increase our institution’s positive impact through teaching, research, and public service.

Graduate-level enrollment at UGA has increased by over 25% in the past decade, and multiple programs earned top 10 placements in the most recent U.S. News & World Report ranking. The School of Public and International Affairs ranked No. 4 in the nation, with three graduate specialties in the top five. The College of Veterinary Medicine, Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education, and several programs in the Mary Frances Early College of Education ranked in the top 10 nationally, while the School of Law, Terry College Business, and School of Social Work placed in the top 10 among public institutions.

UGA continues to prioritize funding for graduate students. This year alone, alumni and friends have contributed nearly $10 million to help graduate students achieve their goals — including Presidential Fellowships for exceptional students in a wide range of fields and a Graduate Student Emergency Fund to help students overcome unexpected financial challenges. The UGA Foundation has been a key partner in this effort, matching gifts made at the college level.

I appreciate the support of the UGA Foundation and our generous donors in helping the University of Georgia expand graduate education, and I am grateful to the faculty, staff, and students who have made our graduate programs among the best in the nation.
