Hanukkah Holiday Decorations

As we conclude another successful calendar year at the University of Georgia, I would like to take a moment to thank you—our outstanding faculty, staff, and students—for all that we have achieved in 2017.

Last January, we embraced three strategic priorities to expand the impact of this great University on the world: 1) to increase scholarship support for students; 2) to further enhance our learning environment; and 3) to solve the grand challenges of our time. There is great momentum surrounding these priorities, and the earliest signs of progress are beginning to show—from establishing nearly 170 Georgia Commitment need-based scholarships, to launching the new Double Dawgs program, to extending our cybersecurity expertise to help businesses and communities across the state.

I am deeply grateful for your hard work and commitment to excellence, which made these accomplishments, and so many others, possible.

So as the fall semester wraps up, let me wish you a joyful and restful holiday season. I look forward to resuming our important work together in January and, of course, cheering on the Dawgs on New Year’s Day as they return to the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1943. Truly, it is a special time to be at the University of Georgia.
