Last week, the University of Georgia celebrated Honors Week, a weeklong series of events designed to recognize the achievements of our outstanding faculty, staff, students, and alumni. As always, I came away from the week inspired by their collective accomplishments.
The University of Georgia is on a strong upward trajectory made possible by the efforts and dedication of these and other individuals both on and off campus. Our faculty are making discoveries to help solve the grand challenges of our time. Staff are providing the highest level of support for a broad range of activities and initiatives. Students are working hard inside and outside the classroom to attain their academic goals and make a difference in the world. Alumni and friends of the University are helping us build a world-class learning environment and increase scholarship support for our students.
In this historic time of significant achievement across all facets of UGA, I remain grateful for the contributions of everyone who is part of the University family. Together, we are helping this institution reach new heights of excellence. It is a great time to reflect on all we have accomplished together in the past year, and it is, indeed, a great time to be a Georgia Bulldog!
