The University of Georgia made history last night winning the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship in Indianapolis. After an undefeated regular season and a decisive win against Michigan in the Orange Bowl, the Georgia Bulldogs overcame the University of Alabama to take the national title.
I could not be prouder of the hard work and determination demonstrated by our talented student-athletes, Coach Kirby Smart, and the Bulldogs coaching staff. I extend my sincere congratulations to everyone on the football team for their perseverance throughout the season and their impressive win in the biggest game in more than a generation for UGA.
This national championship win is a victory for every member of the Bulldog Nation. I am grateful for the enduring support of our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends for our great university. As we celebrate this moment, we are united in our love for the University of Georgia and our confidence in the bright future ahead. GO DAWGS!
