The University of Georgia is committed to providing our students with world-class instruction, formative experiences, and strong support to equip them for success. One of the ways we fulfill this commitment is through the UGA Career Center, which helps students chart a course for their professional lives and provides resources to help them achieve their career goals.
The Career Center provides a multitude of services and programs for UGA students and alumni as well as potential employers. Among them, career consultants hold close to 7,500 one-on-one coaching sessions annually with students and alumni. The UGA Mentor Program connects students with over 5,000 alumni, faculty, and staff who can provide additional insight and encouragement. The Career Center also hosts an online job search platform with more than 161,000 job and internship postings and brings more than 1,100 organizations to campus each year for career fairs and interviews. The outcomes are excellent: 96% of UGA’s Class of 2023 graduates were employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation.
I am grateful to the outstanding staff in the UGA Career Center and to the dedicated faculty, staff, and alumni who support their efforts. Their focus on our students’ professional success is helping students put their UGA education to work and become leaders in their organizations and communities. The overall result is an exceptional return on investment for students, their families, and the citizens of Georgia.
