Mentors play a valuable role in the lives of students, adding depth and direction to their academic pursuits. Fortunately, UGA alumni are eager to support current students as they explore possible career paths and life goals, and our students are excited to connect with members of the Bulldog family who can provide inspiration and guidance. To link our alumni and students in this meaningful way, the University has created the UGA Mentor Program.
Housed in the Career Center, the UGA Mentor Program uses an online platform to help students find mentors based on common interests, industry, location, and more. The program website also provides resources for mentors to help ensure a successful experience. Once a mentoring relationship is established, students and mentors can communicate in person or via text message, email, or phone from anywhere in the world.
As someone who has benefitted from the guidance and support of mentors throughout my education and professional life, I look forward to the many lasting benefits that will come to our students from the UGA Mentor Program. I am grateful that our alumni are willing to give back to the University of Georgia in this important way.
